There are innumerable things to write. But today its going to be just about today.

Today is the 12th Year Annual Ceremony, Srardham. And thanks my brother in India. He had arranged for Online participation. Normally this happens like a offline — face to face- and then I will get intimated. We(me,my wife) wait for the final signal from there, India. Go to temple, give thambhulam, take blessings and then cook, have the first meal for the day. And that means, due to time difference its would be around 6.30 pm/ 7 pm AEST.

Today, it was different. With the online, I was there when the ritual was conducted. Full and heartfelt participation. Thanks the every evolving sastrigals, who try to accommodate all possible scenarios in life.

Today, also has become important as I shared the annual ceremony details to my school friends group. Why school friends? They have seen my mom, visited home umpteen number of times, celebrated every festival with us, travelled the entire primary and high school journey. My friends know about our house, relatives. My mom knows about them, their parents and importantly, what makes them tick. Supported them in their school journey also not by giving money or gifts. Just being there. In silence. Encouraging what’s right, advising what’s not and end up in trouble later. Trouble is specifically coming in the path with my father :). Supported multiple days of “Group study” with hot milk in flask, tea or some snacks.

Today, I shared this to school group. Its not something anyone shares in the school friends group. I thought that I will get some consoling messages. But the response was tremendous. Each one could identify and specifically remember the memories of their interaction with my mom. I did not know that they remember so much.

To be continued…
